Kenneth Dean Spencer, 73, of Bloomfield, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by friends and family on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at his home in Bloomfield. He was born Sept. 9, 1944, in Carlsbad to David Arthur and Bessie Louise Spencer.
Kenneth graduated from High School in Cuba, N.M. Kenneth married the love of his life, Margaret, in 1978. During this time, he was working as a Carpenter at APS. After APS, He worked at Clay Groomer Machine Shop for five years. Then he worked for Burlington where he retired in 2004. Kenneth loved the wide outdoor world of hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and grandkids. He will be greatly missed and will always be loved and in our hearts.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, David Arthur Spencer and Bessie Louise; and brother, Victor Leon. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Spencer; sons, Jason Kent (Paulette) Spencer, Joe Ellis (Stephenie) Warren and Chad Whitley (Henrietta) Spencer; sisters, Elaine Dean, Judy (John) Raney, Jeannie (Paul) Griffith and Davene Cole; and grandchildren, Azzia Jenee Spencer, Jacob Anthony Spencer, Dillon Rayce Warren, Gavin Mitchell Caswell, Annabella Rose Spencer and Santana Faith Spencer.
A memorial service for Kenneth will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29 at First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, 200 W. Sycamore Ave.
