LaVerne Jahrling

LaVerne Jahrling, 88, formerly of Kirtland, passed away surrounded by family at Life Care Center Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018. She was born Dec. 10, 1929, in Helena, Mont.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Stephen (Ann Marie) Jahrling; daughter, Lorna (Christopher) Anton; and grandsons, Christian Jahrling and Erik (Jaime) Anton. She is also survived by three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Obisike, the healthcare staff at Life Care Center and the health staff of the fourth floor central at San Juan Regional Medical Center for their wonderful care. Her family also thanks Valley Fire Department for their help over the years that LaVerne lived in Kirtland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Group.

A memorial service for LaVerne will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1221 E. 20th St. in Farmington.
