Our beloved mother, LaVon Culler of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the age of 91. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family.
LaVon was born in Sanford, Colorado, on September 17, 1930, to Charles Cunningham and Sylvia Hostetter Cunningham. She was the eighth of ten children. During her youth, she served her family and learned many skills that helped her raise her own family. She loved making rolls, quilting, family history, and crocheting. LaVon loved spending time at their cabin in Mancos, Colorado, with Raymond and family.
LaVon married the love of her life, Raymond Culler, on September 4, 1950. They were blessed with six children, a son who was only with them for a few hours of life and five daughters. Over the years their family has grown to include 20 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren all of whom have been blessed to call her grandma.
LaVon was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond, her parents, six brothers and two sisters, her son Michael Lee Culler and granddaughter Whitney Lorene Lewis. She is survived by her daughters Debbie Stowell (Kevin), Cindy Lewis (Michael), Teri Duncan (Eric), Tammie Hansen (Matthew), and Lorrie Seljestad (Greg), as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 3:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1310 East 25th Street, Farmington, New Mexico.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to a GoFundMe account set up for Jared Stock. Jared is a local police officer and family friend. The account is set up to help with his medical bills.
