Leander Sam, 35, of Aztec, NM passed away on May 1, 2024, in Farmington, NM. Leander was born in Shiprock, NM to Leon Sam and Cecelia Sam. Leander was born to Nihoobáanii (Grey-Streaked Ends Clan) Born from Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan)

Leander was the 3rd born into our family. Leander was a funny, caring, and happy person who always wanted to see a smile on his loved ones faces. He always made random and funny remarks. Leander always tried to help whenever he could. He enjoyed watching movies. He would always remember quotes from popular movies and tv shows. He would mention these quotes to make others laugh, just to see a smile on one’s face. Leander enjoyed playing video games and keeping updated on the latest consoles. He enjoyed listening to loud music and driving around with his older brother. Leander loved playing board games with family. He enjoyed it when the family all got together to have fun. He was fond of cooking and experimenting with food. He always appreciated the feedback from his cooking. Leander was a fan of Snoopy, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Pokémon, Star Wars, and Mario Bros. He had a collection of Mario and Luigi.

Leander’s smile and laugh will always be remembered, and he will always be loved and missed by many.

Leander is Survived by his parents Leon Sam & Cecelia Sam, brother Lee Paul Sam Jr. and his sisters: Lorena Napoleon & Lorinda Sam.
