LeAndrew Bigman

LeAndrew Sanchez Bigman, age 52, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Farmington, New Mexico. He was born on May 7, 1972, in Gallup, New Mexico, to Lorraine Bigman and was born to Hashtl'ishnii (Mud People Clan) and San Felipe. LeAndrew, known affectionately as "Andjo," was a man who truly embraced life and lived it on his own terms.

Andjo had many passions, from his love of music to his fascination with vehicles and tattoos. He was a devoted attendee of concerts and car shows, always seeking the thrill and energy of live performances and the appreciation of fine craftsmanship. His favorite hobbies included collecting C-10 Chevy truck models and truck magazines, working on his vehicles, and welding. Andjo was a man of many talents, and his creativity extended beyond his work - he was also a self-taught tattoo artist who found joy in expressing his artistry.

For 17 years, Andjo worked as an oilfield structural welder, building a respected career in the industry. He was proud of the work he did, having spent time with several companies, including JW Legacy Measurement, Mining and Equipment, HPI, and most recently, C&J Manufacturing. His dedication to his craft and strong work ethic were a reflection of his character. He took pride in being able to fix and build things, and his work left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

LeAndrew is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Charlene Jones, and his only daughter, Shade Sanchez. He was deeply devoted to his grandchildren, Nattiel "Junior" Sanchez and Avien "Little Feller" Sanchez, with whom he spent the last four years of his life caring for and cherishing. He was a proud grandfather who loved his grandchildren unconditionally and was always there to support them.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Bigman; grandparents, Tom and Mae Bigman; uncles Harry Bigman, Billy Bigman, and James Bigman; aunts JoAnne Whitehorse and Ella Bigman, as well as cousins Travis Canuto, Leland Platero, Michelle Whitehorse, Cody Toledo, and Michael Bigman.

LeAndrew is survived by numerous family members who loved him dearly, including his uncles Nelson Arthur, Harrison Bigman, and Wilson Bigman; aunts Lorretta Bonney, Elsie Bigman, Lavern Platero, Irene Atencio and Louise Canuto; and cousins Brandon Bonney, Tommy Brown, Nelson Atencio Jr., Mitchell Bigman, Elliot Platero, Justin Canuto, Caleb Canuto, James Bigman Jr., Stepsen Bigman, and Stinsin Bigman, Alberta Baker, Roberta Bonney, Veronica Canuto, Savannah Wayne, Sammantha Atencio, Donielle Bigman, Laree Johnson, Lavonne Platero, Lacresha Platero

He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, including Andre Baker, Andres Bonney, Memphis Atencio, Emilio Atencio, Julian Bigman, Brody Bigman, Matthew Wayne Jr., Arnalda Yazzie, Alicia Johnson, Hallie Sanchez, Meilani Bigman, Aresha Silver, Tiana Bonney, and Ashleigh Wayne, as well as his grandchildren Nala Yazzie, Brayden Yazzie, and Zade Toledo.

LeAndrew's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a one-of-a-kind man - fiercely independent, loving, and dedicated to his family. His legacy of strength, creativity, and unconditional love will live on in the memories of his family and friends.

LeAndrew "Andjo" Bigman will be deeply missed, but his memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He was truly one of a kind, and he will be loved and remembered forever.

A Memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday November 23, 2024 at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St., Farmington, NM 87401
