Leroy Francis Buck Sr.

Leroy Francis Buck Sr., 84, of Rehoboth, New Mexico, passed away on September 4, 2023, in Aztec, New Mexico. Leroy was born on June 10, 1939, in Rehoboth, New Mexico, to parents Louise Peshlakai and Kenneth Cody. Born to Dibe tizhiri and born for Lok aa dine e.

Leroy obtained his GED, and continued his career with BHP where he would later retire. He also worked as a mechanic, as well as road construction. Leroy took pride in being a dad and was always there for his family 24/7. Leroy became a Roman Catholic at the age of 15.

Leroy is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Mae Buck, parents Louise Johns and Kenneth Cody, son Dean Buck, brothers Edwin Johns, Wilbert Myers, and Robert Buck, sisters Ida Poyer, Lenora Burnside, and Lorraine Chase.

Leroy is survived by his sons Daniel Davis, Leroy Buck Jr., Othello Buck, Darrell Buck, daughter Lenora Lesscher, sister Mary Kewanwytewa, and Grandmother Mary.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at St. Berard Church, 101 Cedar Avenue, Navajo, New Mexico, at 9:30-10:00 visitation, followed by Eulogy and Mass from 10:00-11:30am. A graveside service will take place following mass.
