Lila Mae Judd Sherman, 94, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on December 3, 2024. Lila was born on May 23, 1930, in Saint David, Cochise, Arizona, to parents Ira Leroy Judd and Bertha Jones.
Lila was an artist and loved singing. She was a Voting Precinct Judge and loved playing volleyball. Lila was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings. Some of them were Temple Ordinance Worker, Stake Primary President, Sunday School Teacher, Primary Teacher, Relief Society Chorister and Teacher, Stake Trainer in Name Extraction. She spent many hours gathering and distributing family photos and loved family gatherings.
Lila is preceded in death by her Husband Elmer Morris Sherman, parents Ira Leroy Judd and Bertha Jones, brothers Ira Leroy Judd, Jr., Alfred Thomas Judd, Jessie Jerome Judd, Laren D Judd, and Grant Judd, sisters Ila Judd, Hazel Judd, Lilly Judd, Mary Judd, Martha Judd, Iola Judd, Ruth Judd, Ethel Judd, and Blanche Judd, and grandparents Hyrum Jerome Judd, Susan Content Boyce, Alfred Thomas Jones, and Mary Eliza Cooley
She is survived by sons Alan (Janet) Sherman of Farmington, NM, Roger (Bonnie) Sherman of Sahuarita, AZ, Brett (Carolyn) Sherman of San Simon, AZ, Nick (Gevene) Sherman of Redmesa, CO, Daughter Tamara (Edwin--deceased) Black of Farmington, NM, and 21 Grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A Visitation for Lila will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bloomfield, New Mexico on December 13, 2024, at 9:00AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at East Hammond Cemetery.
