Lillian Crabtree

Lillian Crabtree, 96 of Farmington, NM. passed away May 30, 2023. She was born May 15th, 1927 in Lubbock, TX. To Raymond and Elsie Forester. Lillian grew up in West Texas and graduated from Cooper Schools. In 1947, Lillian and her sister, Vera, met twin brothers, Bill and Bob, at the ice cream shop. Lillian married Bill on September 9, 1949 in a double wedding ceremony with Bob and Vera.

The family moved to Farmington in 1967. Lillian was a homemaker who was always sewing clothes and crafts. She volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Lillian was a life-long Lutheran and was involved with women's groups at church. Lillian loved to spend time with her family, whether it was a family dinner, holidays or watching her grandkids play sports. Many afternoons were spent with friends playing bridge and walking with her prayer group well into her eighties.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Crabtree and her son, Ron Crabtree.

She is survived by sons, Reggie Crabtree (Linda) and Mickey Crabtree (Linda Jo). Daughters Karen Dean (Russell) and a sister Vera Crabtree. She is also survived by her grandchildren Greg Crabtree (Darlene), Ben Crabtree (Aimee), Lindsey Ward (Tell) Kimber Crabtree (Kenneth) Kelsey Dean, Myra Dean and 8 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Tuesday, June 6th at 2:00pm located at Trinity Lutheran Church in Farmington, NM.

Interment will take place earlier in the day at Greenlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to husband.
