Linda Dewees, 82, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on February 25, 2022, in Farmington, New Mexico. Linda was born on February 9, 1940, in Clovis, New Mexico to parents John and Fanny Sue Owen.
Linda was born in Clovis, NM and raised in Albuquerque; where she graduated from Albuquerque High school; afterwards she moved to El Paso, TX. Linda attended El Paso community college, earning her certificate for cash register management in 1972. She moved to Silver City NM; then on to settle down in San Juan County in 1984; living first in Aztec; then relocating to Farmington. Linda worked various jobs; from babysitting children to working in the food industry for Arby’s and Zeb’s. In 1992, she started at Walmart as a sales associate where she worked for 25 years and retired as a door greeter. Linda was a member of Crossroads Community Church and enjoyed riding her hover-around to church every Sunday.
Linda is Preceded in Death by her Daughter Kristi Dewees, Parents John and Fanny Sue Owen, Brother Gene, and her sister Jackie.
Linda is Survived by her Son John Owen, Daughters Betty VanEckhoutte and Miriam Webb, Grandchildren Shantel lacy Owen, Levi Owen, Ericka Vaneckhoutte, Athena Albin, John Webb, James Webb, and Jazmine Webb, Great-grandchildren Alexander Albin, Alice Albin, Keisto VanEckhoutte, William Bryant, Jayne Chrestman, and Liam Meadows, Sisters Marye, Donna, Paula, and Laurie, including many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Cross Roads Church April 1,2022 at 1:00pm, Officiated by Pastor Dave West.
Burial at 2:30pm at Greenlawn Cemetery and reception after at Farmington Masonic Lodge
Pallbearers are Betty VanEckhoutte, Erick VanEckhoutte, Ericka VanEckhoutte, Tifine VanEckhoutte
Honorary Pallbearers are John Owen, Athena Albin.
