Linda Louise Brewer was born October 26, 1945, to Charles Eugene Brewer and Earnestine Mae Alltizer Brewer in Hardtner, Kansas. She attended schools in Cherokee, Garber, and Blackwell, Oklahoma. Graduating from Medicine Lodge High School, Kansas 1963. After graduating, Linda pursued higher education at Northwestern College in Alva, Oklahoma.
In 1964 Linda (Cindy) married Clifford Eugene Sillers (Gene) in Blackwell, Oklahoma. A year later moving to Farmington, New Mexico were Gene had a job waiting, and soon after they started a family.
Linda and Gene were blessed with two children, David Eugene Sillers and Clifford Michael Sillers.
With two boys in school, Linda found time for new ventures. She started selling Avon products and later worked in a furniture store that her family eventually purchased, and that she ran for many years. After a downturn in the economy, we reluctantly closed our furniture store. Undeterred, Linda returned to school, attended San Juan College where she earned her associate degree. She subsequently joined the crew at San Juan Center for Independence where she found her true calling. An advocate for those with disabilities, being visually impaired herself, Linda understood the frustrations her clients faced on a daily basis and fought hard to better their lives. After nearly 20 years of dedicated service, Linda retired in 2013.
Mom cherished our many family adventures to the mountains. She loved the long mountain drives, the autumn leaves, and especially booming thunderstorms. That's where she recharged and found peace.
Mom passed away from a broken heart. Her son Cliff recently passed, fighting a long battle with cancer. Mom's decline over the past few months was in lock step with her beloved sons, passing away peacefully one day after Cliffs funeral.
Linda is survived by; her husband (Gene) Clifford, son David, granddaughter Tarasa, (her husband Travis), great granddaughters Tristyn and Tatum, grandsons Cameron (his wife Delaney), and Clifford Michael Sillers II, and her Aunt Betty.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Earnestine Brewer, sister Patricia Ann, adored brother Charles, and her beloved son Cliff.
We remember Linda as a devoted and loving mother, wife, and friend. We will all miss her very much.
