Lionel Archer

Lionel Jay Archer, 76, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Farmington. He was born Dec. 29, 1941, in Chandler, Okla. to George and Elmina Archer. A memorial service will be Saturday the 17th at Sacred Heart Parish Center in Farmington at 1:30pm.

Jay was a long time resident of Bloomfield, NM. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, & great-grandfather. He was loved by all. Jay owned J&R Construction for 40 years. He came out of retirement and owned Jay's Backhoe Service for the rest of his life. He was best known for his fish fry, which was the "Best Fish Fry" in the county.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elmina Archer; brothers, Bill, Bob, and Dutch Archer; sisters, Minnie Leverich, Vera Ruston, Virginia Trujillo and Patty Fitzpatrick.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Archer; sons, Larry Archer (Melissa) and James Archer; daughter, Cindy Dame (Richard); sisters, Mickie Calvert and Birtha Pruitt; grandchildren, Nichole Lowe, Nicholas Garcia, Andrea Archer, Lance Archer, and Tess Archer; and great-grandchildren, Analiyah Archer and Nicholas Garcia Jr.
