Lu-Ann Williams

April 25, 1934 — August 29, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lu-Ann Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, and a pillar of faith, who departed the world August 29,2023 at the age of 89, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength. Lu-Ann was born on April 25, 1934 in Grayville, Illinois to Harry and Betsy Daugherty.

She is survived by her three children, Thomas Williams, Pamela J. Alden, and Daniel Williams. She was a cherished grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Thomas Allen Williams Jr, Joseph D. Alden, Jessica Ann Alden, Emily Wilkins, Robert Williams and 6 great grandchildren who will cherish the lessons of love and resilience she instilled in them.

She was a member of Mount Vista Baptist Church where she worshipped and found solace, support, and belonging. Her dedication to her community was unwavering and she will be deeply missed by those who worshipped alongside her.

Her family and those who knew Lu-Ann take comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with her beloved husband, Vernon Williams, who preceded her in death. Their love and companionship was a source of joy in their life together, and they are now together once more, in eternal peace.

May she find peace eternal and may her memory shine brightly in the hearts of her family and ease the pain of her loss.

Rest in peace dearest Lu-Ann. You will be deeply missed, but your love, light, and legacy will live on.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be interred in Greenlawn Cemetery, Farmington, New Mexico

In lieu of flower, we ask donation be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
