Lupe Hale, age 92, a longtime resident of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023, in Farmington, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1930, in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico, to Antonio Rodriguez and Josefa Macias Rodriguez.
Lupe married the love of her life, Andrew (Jack) Hale, on December 10th, 1956, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished moments.
Lupe is survived by her devoted sons, Russell Hale (Barbara) and Randall Hale (Judy), and her loving daughter, Becky Fuller (Glen). She leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to her grandchildren: Jared Fuller, Jayme Gonzales, Jett Fuller, Robert Hale, David Hale, Jonathan Hale, Kayla Opperman, and nine great-grandchildren.
One of Lupe's proudest moments was when she became a United States citizen, a testament to her determination and love for her adopted country. She was a compassionate and selfless individual, known for her culinary talents. Lupe's kitchen was the heart of her home, where she delighted in preparing delicious meals, cakes, and cookies for her family, friends, and church. She was especially renowned for crafting custom wedding cakes not only for all her children but also for many other couples. Her warm hospitality and unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved were hallmarks of her character.
Lupe fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a world traveler, exploring destinations far and wide. Her personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, held profound importance in her life, providing strength and comfort throughout her journey. Her unwavering strength, resilience, and refusal to complain, even during challenging times, inspired all who knew her. Lupe will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dawn Gardner, Lupe's devoted caretaker, Aubrey, Jackie and the staff at Guardian Angel, Cammie and the caregivers at Pal's Assisted Living. Special thanks also go to Dr. Manish Pandya, Dr. William (Bill) Palko-Schraa, and the entire staff at the San Juan Regional Wound Treatment Center for their exceptional care.

A funeral service to celebrate Lupe Hale's remarkable life will be held on December 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, located at 2200 Sullivan Ave, Farmington, NM 87401. A reception will be held directly after church services. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N Dustin Ave, Farmington, NM 87401.
Lupe Hale's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
