Luwana Louise Scribner, age 92 of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday October 29, 2024. Luwana was born on August 18, 1932, in Clarinda, Page County, Iowa to Reinhold Linke and Adella Herzberg. Luwana was raised on a farm with her younger brother Roger in Clarinda, Iowa. After her high school graduation in Clarinda, she went on to college an achieved her bachelor’s degree from Northern Missouri Stare College in Maryville, Missouri. In 1956 Luwana briefly lived and worked in Kansas City, MO until she was offered the chance to move west to the four corners area. She then settled in Farmington, NM where she worked for First National bank, she retired from the bank after 30 years of service. After retirement she stayed active being an avid RV’er who loved the adventures lifestyle. She was also very active in Zion Lutheran Church until she was called home by her heavenly Savior. Luwana was a friend and inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Scribner, her parents Reinhold an Adella Linke and her brother Rodger Linke. Surviving are her sisters-in-law Patsy Linke and Judy Peterson, Nieces Lee Ann Linke-Caracciolo and Katie Miller. Nephews, David Linke, Jon Linke, Kelly Peterson and Chris Peterson. Her closes friend, companion and caregiver Kenneth Morris.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at a later date at Summit cemetery in Page County, Iowa.

Luwana was a avid bird lover and has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Audubon Society Southwest, PO Box 9314, Santa Fe, NM 87504. southwest@audubon.org
