Lyla Kay Troutner, 74, of Farmington, NM, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1951, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Albert and Viola Joan Johnston.
Lyla was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and caring daughter. Her family meant everything to her, and she spent her life making sure they felt loved and supported. She faced a long battle with cancer and met it with stubbornness, strength, and courage, never letting it take away her spirit.
The moments she cherished most were those spent with her husband, children, and especially her grandson, who were the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Viola Joan Forrey, and her cherished in-laws, Pauline and Calvin Troutner.
Lyla is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Loren Troutner; her children, Seth Troutner and Taffeta Troutner; her grandson, Camden Troutner; her father, Albert Johnston; and her sister, Shirley Wolf (Dudley).
Her love, strength, and warmth will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
