Margie C. Orum

Margie Orum went to be with her heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 14, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born November 20, 1935, to Alex and Bernie Herrera.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents Alex and Bernie Herrera, brother Emilio Herrera, sister Isabel Muniz, her husband Don Orum, and her grandson Robert Lopez.

Margie was born in the town of McPhee/Dolores, Colorado. She made Farmington her home for the past 46 years.

She is survived by her seven children that reside in the Farmington and Cortez area, her children Darlene Nielson, Leonard Lopez, Duane (Wanda) Lopez, Youvonne Neeley, Paul (Nay) Lopez, Ruben (Matilda) Chavez and Carol (Anthony) Martinez. She is survived by her siblings Orlando Herrera, Max Herrera, Connie Gallegos, Rose Francisco, and Leo Herrera

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren Karla, Karen, Kara, Traci, Duane Jr., Brandi, Jasmine, Brittany, Beau, Joshua, Lucuz, Juliuz, and Amber, 23 great-grandchildren Justin, Jarett, Emily, Elyse, Estella, Mariella, Julien, Shantel, Casey, Braden, Trenton, Kristin, Shannon, Lauryn, Nathan, Aaron, Brielle, Avalyn, Liam, Adelle, Nolan, Mattilyn, and Isaiah, and 3 great-great-grandchildren Justin Jr., Mya, and Maddux.

Margie’s passions in life were her faith and family.

We will miss her beautiful smile, gentleness, loving, and giving heart.

A celebration of life will be held at The Masters Hand Church of God (306 North Seventh St., Bloomfield NM 87413) on Saturday February 1, 2025, at 10:00AM.
