Martha Velasquez passed away on February 14, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and warmth that touched all who knew her. Her infectious smile and witty personality lit up every room she entered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those lucky enough to know her. She was a lover of dancing, crafting, and spending time with family, Martha lived life to the fullest.
As a dedicated member of the workforce, Martha spent many years working at Walmart, where her cheerful demeanor and hardworking spirit made her a beloved presence among coworkers and customers alike. But it was her love for family that defined her most. Whether it was sharing a dance, creating something beautiful with her hands, or simply enjoying a moment with loved ones, Martha made sure that family was always a priority.
Martha's memory will live on in the laughter and the love she so generously shared. The footprint she leaves is one of kindness, humor, and an unshakable bond to those she cherished. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten by her children Rudy Velasquez, Juanita(Ray) Nichols, Suzanne Ford, Mike Velasquez, Joseph Milliano, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and her sister Carrie Salazar. Martha will be reunited with her beloved son Filberto Velasquez, her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am Monday March 3, 2025, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 N. Allen Ave., Farmington, NM 87401.
