Mary Louise Bermudez

Mary Louise Bermudez, 66, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on May 3, 2023, in Farmington, New Mexico. Mary was born on December 8, 1956, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to parents Eloy & Amelia Torrez.

Mary moved to Farmington from Albuquerque with the love of her life, Jim. In Farmington, she met an entire community of friends that loved her kind and loving spirit. She loved to cook and would make the best food you’ve ever tasted. She enjoyed Sunday family dinners, volunteer work, playing Bunco, going to church, working with her dear friends, including passion radio and Added Touch. She loved spending time with her family and friends, attending her grandkids sporting events, and shopping for fun kitchen gadgets. She was always the most well dressed and classy person, and her smile and warmth lit up the entire room. She loved the family dog Simon and spending time in her backyard with her husband. Her entire family was her pride and joy.

Mary is preceded by her parents Eloy & Amelia Torrez, sister Yolanda Lunsford, and Grandmother Elisa Garcia.

Mary is survived by her husband Felix “Jim” Bermudez, son Marcos Bermudez and wife Jessica, daughters Vanessa Yates and partner Peter Barnett, Monique Bermudez and partner Joseph Fuentes, brothers David Torrez and wife Kathy Torrez, Michael Torrez and wife Roseanna Torrez, sisters Priscilla Smith and husband Larry Smith, Kathleen Bloom and husband Steven Bloom, grandchildren Isaiah Jaramillo and partner Kurstin Vigil, Josiah Jaramillo, Jasmine Jaramillo, Riley Yates, Reagan Yates, Jack Barnett, Hayden Bermudez, Olivia Bermudez, Emmalyn Bermudez, including several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00am, at Crossroads Community Church, 2400 N Butler Avenue, Farmington, New Mexico, Officiated by Pastor Dave West.
