Mary Carol Cunningham

Mary Carol Ackerman-Cunningham stepped into this life on November 9, 1934, in Carmi, Illinois. While surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully walked into Heaven February 3, 2022 in Aztec, New Mexico.

She was married to John Cunningham for 52 years. Hand in hand, side by side, together, they built a large and loving family and a successful and thriving business that she kept going for many years after his passing. John preceded Mary Carol in death in 2005. Also preceding her in death is her father and mother Darrance and Anna Ackerman, her grandson Johnny Begg, 4 grandbabies, 2 great grandbabies, and 1 great great grandbaby.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy Prespentt, Tonya Cunningham, Tangela Hayes, Tiffany Cunningham, and Laura Anderson. Her sons-in-laws Jake Hayes, Martin Sanchez, and Dennis Anderson. Her grandchildren Jasen (Kari) Prespentt, Jihana Prespentt, Joriana Prespentt, Jeramy (Chelsi) Espinosa, Jeren (Brandy) Espinosa, Jaade Espinosa, Justen (Lisa) Espinosa, Jenner Begg, Jensyn Begg, Jonny Rino, Jamey (Isaac) Esquibel, Jeffrey (Marquita) Rino, Duane (Amanda) Hayes, Jhett (Heather) Gomez, Jaityn Gomez, Tieranie (Patrick) Albright, Sierra Anderson, 35 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Her unsurpassed zest for life, devotion to family, loyalty to friends far and wide, and her wild and wonderful sense of humor are the things we'll miss the most.

There will be a visitation at 10am with Services at 11am Saturday February 12, 2022 at Farmington Funeral Home. Graveside immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery. Reception at The Marriott.
