Michael Archuleta

Michael E. Archuleta was born in Anna, Illinois on April 16, 1948 to Charlie R. Archuleta & Beulah Faye Klink Archuleta. He passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 74 surrounded by his family.

Mike lived in Blanco, NM until he was five when he moved back to Murphysboro, Illinois. After graduation in 1966 he enlisted into the Navy and was stationed on the Franklin D. Roosevelt aircraft carrier where he was trained as a ships barber.

In 1967 while home on leave he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Brown. After he left the service, they settled back in Murphysboro and welcomed Michael and Kathy into their family.

Mike worked for the Menard Prison System in Illinois until 1985 when they moved to New Mexico to work with his dad, Charlie at his car lot. After his Dad's death he worked various other jobs in San Juan County until his retirement.

Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, son Michael (Shawn), daughter Kathy, 7 grandkids, 8 great grandkids, his sisters - Jane Reeves, Melinda (Marty) Moon, numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved parents & sister Charlene Archuleta.
