Mitchell Thomas

Mitchell Ross Thomas, 62, passed away on June 23, 2023, in Farmington, NM. He was born on May 7, 1961, in Red Lodge, Montana, to Gordon Keith Thomas and Joyce Charlotte Wagner. Mitchell was a charismatic and generous man who was loved by all who knew him. He was the owner and operator of Mitchell Mechanical, a highly successful plumbing company in Farmington, New Mexico. Mitchell was a man who lived life on his own terms. He was gregarious and daring, yet nonchalant all at once. He followed the rules only as much as required, otherwise, he was in charge. He loved friendship and conversation and was always happy to be around other people. Mitchell was a safety net to so many in the community and beyond, and without his light, we will all have to find our way in a slightly dimmer world. In his free time, Mitchell loved gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He also had a passion for fast cars, anything that had a motor or could fly was fair game! Mitchell is survived by his wife, Theresa L Thomas, daughter Emily D Andrew, grandchildren, Ruby Ina, Waylon Kronwall, Robert Thomas and Lillian Joyce, Siblings Anthony Thomas (Crystal), Heidi Young (Doug) Sabrina Yates, Craig Thomas (Kathy). Not to mention numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and chosen family members. A special thank you to Thomas Jacquez, who has been Mitch's faithful right-hand man since 2006 all the way up until he passed and beyond. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Keith Thomas, mother Joyce Charlotte Wagner, and son Robert Cline Thomas. Mitchell's Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.
