Montegomery Bitsuie

Montegomery Tyson Bitsuie, 39, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on July 27, 2024. He was born on January 7, 1985, in Ft Defiance, AZ, to Clarice Barber and Wilbur Bitsuie.

Monte attended Kirtland Central High School and graduated in 2003. Monte enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed cookouts and was an avid movie watcher and collector. Monte was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is preceded in death by his fiancé Nicole S. Yazzie, grandfather Tom L. Manning Sr, grandmother Mary R. Manning, grandfather Keyonnie Bitsuie, and grandmother Irene Capazonie.

Monte is survived by his sons Tyler P. Bitsuie & Matthew Plummer, parents Clarice Barber & Wilbur Bitsuie, brothers Bryce T. Bitsuie, Jason P. Barber, Ryan L. Barber & Lance A. Barber and sisters Dayna O. Bitsuie & LeAnna R. Holiday

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday August 2nd at Sunset Hills Baptist Church, officiated by Don Fishgrab. Followed by interment at 11:00 am at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery. A reception to follow at Kirtland Youth Association (KYA).

Pallbearers are Bavan Damon, Byford Damon, Tom Manning III, Otis Bitsuie, Christian Chiquito, and Joaquin Betoni.
