Nelda Hollar

Nelda J. Newland Hollar, 79 of Farmington, NM., passed away on February 11, 2023. She was born on September 21, 1943 in Pryor, OK. to Hollis Newland and Estes Rowbotham Newland.

Nelda married Jack Hollar in Grants, NM. on December 14, 1961. They were married 58 and 1/2 years prior to Jack's death in June of 2020. They raised their daughter's Rhonda and Rita in Aztec. She lived the majority of her life in NM and loved shopping, going to yard sales and being a mother and housewife.

Nelda was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hollar; daughter Rhonda R. Hollar; grandson Chad Finch; parents Hollis and Estes Newland; and her grandparents Elmo Newland & Pearl Hollis Newland and William Rowbotham and Alice Murray Rowbotham.

She is survived by her daughter Rita Manchester; sister Nita Newland; grandchildren Casey Williams and Tyler Finch; great-grandchildren Ava Finch, Ashten Finch, Jaedyn Owen, Addilyn Finch, Ander Finch, Coralee Williams, and Corbin Williams.

A memorial service will be at 11:00am on Friday, February 17th at the Timberline Church at 311Ruins Road in Aztec, NM. with Pastor Cody Stovall officiating.
