Randy Craig Groom

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Craig Groom, who left us on February 12, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on September 16, 1950, in Elmira, NY to Francis Groom and Thelma Jean Wilson. 

Randy graduated high school in Winslow Az. Living life on his terms, he had many adventures. Some we knew about and some we didn’t. In his early adult years, he spent some time traveling around rodeoing with his buddies, times he enjoyed talking about throughout life. He later was employed with the Santa Fe railroad where he worked for many years and upon completion of employment with the railroad, he became quite nomadic and ended up in Bloomfield New Mexico where he would spend the remaining years of his life. ___He took his last adventure February 12, 2025. 

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Francis Groom and Thelma Jean Wilson, and sister Vickie Hasenstaub .

He is survived by daughters Rebecca Crowther, Tandy Drye, and Niney Groom-Deysie all of Arizona, sisters Dawn Theroux of Texas and Julie Johnston of Arizona, and grandchildren Brandt (Becky) Babers, Zeb (Chelsey) Babers, Reilly Drye, Haydn Drye, AnnaBelle Deysie and Serenity Deysie.
