Ray passed away the morning of January 1, 2023; he was preceded in death by his father, Richard Doolin, and his mother, Geraldine (Doolin) Lyautey. He is survived by his stepfather, Richard Lyautey; his brothers, Ralph, Ricky, Rodney, Russell, Vernon, Duane, Leslie, and Jared; his sisters, Misty, Britney, and Adrien.
Ray has lived in the Farmington area all of his life and has many friends in the area. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1978. He started his industrial painting career working at a business that did repairs and painting of large semi-tractor trailers. The majority of his career was in the employment of Riley Industrial Services, Inc. but he also worked for Manuel C. Hastings, Hastings Paint and Pride Industrial.
Ray was very good at his trade and shared that knowledge with those he worked with and worked hard at making sure the customer was pleased with the outcome. While working at Riley Industrial, he worked his way up to becoming one of its Project Managers, overseeing many workers and projects, and earned respect from those he worked with.
Ray was an avid sportsman with camping, hunting, and fishing being a big part of his life. He was always finding areas to fish even when he had an out-of-town project he was overseeing. He knew quite a bit about boat motors and was always buying old motors and fixing them up for resale.
He loved his family and would help any of them if needed. In his younger years, he did push his parents' buttons growing up. He will be missed by his family and those he became friends with.
