Raymond "Mark" Byars

Raymond "Mark" Byars, 67, passed away October 1, 2023, in Farmington, NM. Mark was born August 18, 1956, in Pampa, TX to parents Berdene Laycock Blair and Donald Ray Byars. Mark graduated from Canyon High School and attended Ft. Lewis College and West Texas A&M University. He was a resident of Farmington and Creede, CO. Mark was a long-time independent contractor in the oil services industry as well as owner of Byars & Associates, Landmark Utilities and B & B Firefighting Units. He was an avid sports enthusiast participating in fishing, golfing and snow skiing.

Preceded in by death his Father and Grandparents Elmer Byars (Loleat) and Huelyn Laycock (Maudie). Mark is survived by his Mother, sister Cynthia Courtney (Dale), brother Gary Don Byars (Debra Jo) and niece Brandy Jo Byars as well as "his boys" Kristopher Eash (Heather) and Jeremy Ballard (Ashton) and special friend Jeanine Martinez.

A memorial service and visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2:00pm, Farmington Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
