Raymond Duran

Raymond E. Duran of Farmington, New Mexico passed from this life November 24, 2022. Raymond was born May 24, 1952, in Farmington, New Mexico to David A. Duran and Rosy Gonzales. He graduated from Farmington High School and attended classes at San Juan College and then obtained a certificate in gunsmithing from Sonoran Desert Institute. Raymond was an employee of El Paso Natural Gas Company in 1980 and committed over 30 years of hard work and dedication as well as served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Coast Guard. Raymond was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed gunsmithing, playing softball, riding motorcycles, working on cars, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and his best friend, John Gallegos.

Raymond is preceded in death by his son Adam David Edward Duran, both of his parents David A. Duran and Rosy Gonzales, his brother David Anthony Duran and his grandparents, Manuel and Beatrice Gonzales and Bertha and King Duran.

He is survived by his wife Joni Duran, daughter's Erin M. Reed (Joe), Carol Duran-Brite (Richard) and Deidre Garcia (Daniel), brother's Sammy and Danny Duran and John Gallegos, sisters Dora Fountain (Michael), Judy Chavez as well as grandchildren Gabrielle Reed, Eden Sanchez, Annelise Garcia, Adam Garcia, Danyl Brite, Ellyce Reed, Devin Reed, and great grandchildren, Kyler Reed, Nevaeh Reed.

Cremation will take place with Farmington Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 10:30am at St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday December 5, 2022, with mass to follow.
