Richard Dailey

Richard Allen Dailey passed on January 29, 2024, in Kirtland, NM at the age of 62. Richard was born in Ft. Defiance, AZ on November 24, 1961, to Dale and Mary E. Dailey born to Ma'ii Deeshgiizhnii & Ta'neeszahnii Navajo clans.

Richard is preceded in death by his son, Darrin Dailey, brother Allen Dailey and parents Dale and Mary E. Dailey.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Danielle Dailey, son, Devin Dailey, brother, Alfred Dailey, sister, Marlene Jaramillo (Tony), best friend, Juanita Joe, mother of his children, and grandchildren, Landon Dailey, Laneya Dailey and Messiah Zamora and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Richard was raised in San Jose, CA where he graduated high school and completed his post-secondary schooling to become a certified Welder. He went on to become a well-known welder within the industry and was able to travel for work within the Midwest. Along with his post-secondary schooling Richard also attended bull riding school in Hayward, CA and at the Gary Leffew bulling riding school in Santa Maria, CA. Richard was a member of the Navajo Nation Rodeo Association, the Native National Indian Rodeo Association and many more. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him.

A memorial service is scheduled Feb. 08, 2024, at 2:00pm at Farmington Funeral Home.
