Richard Maestas

Richard Franciso Maestas was born in Gallina, New Mexico on April 8, 1940, to Ramoncita and Delores Maestas and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 10, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his son, Glen Maestas, his father, Delores Maestas, and his mother, Ramoncita Maestas. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ora, his daughter, LaVern (Phil), granddaughters Felicia (Matt) and Michelle (Jonathan), great grandchildren: Josie, Emily, Lucas and Marcus, sister, Elvira, brother, Orlando (Helen), and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17th with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:30am, service to begin at 12:00pm at New Life Center located at 8121 E. Main Street, Farmington, NM. Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made to New Life Center under the name of Richard Maestas.

Ora would like to thank loved ones for their support, especially Phil Martinez for the hard work, countless hours, and acts of service he performed for both her and for Richard.
