Roberto Ramirez Armendariz, 76, of Farmington passed away at home listening to Mona Lisa by Nat King Cole. He was born in Chihuahua Mexico and raised in Hobbs, Nm where he then joined the Army and the Peace Corp constructing bridges in Peru. After College, he settled down to raise a family in Farmington. His greatest passion was teaching. He taught 6th grade math and science for over 30years at Sacred Heart, Esperanza Elementary, Tibbetts middle school, and San Juan College. He was a great teacher but, his best lessons were how to care for others. Always willing to show mercy, he was a loving father to many and a dear friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father: Petra and Jose; wife: Pearl; son: Alfredo and grandson: Jordan.

He’s survived by 7 children and their spouses, 19 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 4 sisters with their spouses and children. Along with many more relatives and friends who miss him dearly.

A rosary will be recited at 9:00am with a mass following at 10:00am on January 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service is open to the public. Masks are required and social distancing implemented.
