Robert Harold Glazner, 92, of Farmington died Monday, February 19th 2018 following a brief illness. He was born January 28, 1926 near Electra, Texas to Fletch Glazner and Winnie Burke- Glazner. At the age of 6 months his dad moved the family to southwest Colorado to homestead 320 acres of land. He went into the Army Air Corps during WWII and was trained as a gunner on the B-29 bomber. When the war ended, he went back and farmed the family homestead until 1951. He married Almeda Johnson in 1950. Bob worked for El Paso Natural Gas Company starting in 1952 and advanced to Superintendant of the San Juan division heavy maintenance department. He first retired in 1986 then contracted back to El Paso Natural Gas as a pipeline quality and control inspector. His wife Almeda passed away in August of 1993. In March of 1998 he remarried to “a good and pretty lady” Janell Dearen. He retired again in 2003.
Robert leaves behind his brothers, John, James, Wayne; sisters, Evelyn, Juanita, Cleo, and Wilma; wife, Janell; children, Doug Dearen (Terri), Donny Dearen (Raelyn), Kenny Dearen (Shelly), Shirlyn Evans (Steve), Elinda Henley, Alan Glazner (Linda), Gary Glazner (Kelly), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob and Janell faithfully attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. A memorial service is scheduled there for Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00am.
