Rose Anita Raney

Rose Raney (84) of Bloomfield, NM passed away on May 14, 2022, in Bloomfield. Rose was born in Carrizozo, NM on April 15, 1938 to parents Juan & Angelita Baca. Rose was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and more. She was very dedicated to her Catholic faith and lived it in an exemplary way; always looking for ways to do for others. She spent much of her time in prayer and openly shared her faith. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and worked cleaning the church. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Raney Sr.; her parents, Juan & Angelita Baca; her sisters, Josephine Mirabal, Beatrice Walton, Regina Baca, and Toney Leeper; her brother, Juan Baca; and two sons, James Raney and Michael Raney. Rose is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Traci) Raney Jr. and Richard Raney; her daughter Angela (Faron) Hengst; her brothers, Paul Baca, Joe Baca, and Ray Baca; her sister, Ramona Masse; her grandchildren, Jason (Leslie) Hengst, Chris (Samantha) Hengst, Michael (Ashley) Raney, Tenille (Frank) DeHoyos, Brooke Raney, and Camie Perez; and her great-grandchildren, Sylas Hengst, Eathan Hengst, Gage Hengst, Bayler Raney, Bristyl Raney, and Cassandra Hengst.

Services for Rose are as follows: Rosary 10:30 AM, Funeral Mass 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Aztec, NM. An interment will then be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bloomfield, NM. A reception will be held at St. Joseph's Hall following the interment.
