Roy Burton

Not sure how we sum up in words, whether a moment or a lifetime, the loss of our Dad, Roy A Burton. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by Ammon and wife Teri, Diane, Laura and granddaughter Lisa.

Born in Borger, Texas, January 9, 1931, to Earl and Edith Burton. He was our hero. Our voice of reason; as kids you don't always listen, but when they pass, you listen and apply. You focus on honoring him and his legacy. You still say "I Love You", "Good Morning", "Good Night", "Hello, Dad, how was your day?" And all the many things you and he have become accustomed to. He is always present.

Dad was preceded by his oldest son, Ronald S Burton. His parents, Edith and Earl Burton.

His sisters Joyce B Derrick, Nora June Clifton, Jeanette A Burton.

Dad is survived by his son Ammon Burton and wife Teri of Bloomfield, NM. Daughters Diane Burton Newman of Borger, TX; granddaughter Joanna Beck and husband Jason Beck and great grandson Tripp Beck of Amarillo Tx, James Newman grandson also of Amarillo, his oldest great grandson Daniel Newman and wife Jasmine Newman and three great-great grandsons, Sebastian, Titus and Cullen Newman of Mossbluff La. Great-Grand child Trecy Burton of Amarillo Tx, and great-great granddaughter Lauran Huval and husband Gregory Huval of Borger Tx and two great-great grandchildren Louis and Rowena Huval.

Laura E Burton of Fresno, CA.; his granddaughter Lisa Sanchez and husband Johnny Sanchez; their sons, his great grandsons; Taylor J Roy Sanchez and Bailey J Christopher Sanchez of Madera, CA.
