Ruth Nation

Ruth Nation age 84, of Farmington, NM went to see Jesus on May 5, 2023.

Ruth was one of two children born to Rose and Harold Wilson. She was raised on a farm in Sterling, Colorado where she attended school. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Nation. One daughter, Nina, was born to Ruth and Lyle in 1958. A son, Lance, was chosen to become part of the family in 1974. Ruth spent her working years mostly in banking. She was also a great cook and was district manager of several school lunchrooms. Their lives were spent together in Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota and Arizona.

Ruth lost Lyle in 2002 while in Arizona. She then moved back to New Mexico to be close to Nina and her family. Ruth loved the Lord and was excited to get back to her church and church family in Farmington, NM. Ruth loved many things, but her favorite was spending time with family and friends. She loved rodeo and playing cards. Her last year she spent watching birds, playing bingo and helping those she could at Cedar Ridge Inn. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Harold Wilson, brother Bud Wilson and her husband Lyle Nation.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Nina (Leslie) Hepner of Bloomfield, NM as well her son Lance (Holly) Nation of Athens, Alabama. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tiffany (Jackson) Hull, Doug (Jill) Hepner, Lance (Chelsea) Nation Jr., and Victoria (Jonathan) Nation, as well as great grandchildren Kim (Randy), Bryce, Rhett, Spense, Taya, and Gev.

Please join in celebrating Ruth's life on May 20th at 11:30 AM, Riverside Church, 808 Monterey Ave., Farmington, NM. A luncheon will follow.
