Ruthie Southern

Ruthie Mae Southern age 87 of Kirtland, New Mexico returned to her Father in Heaven on November 11, 2022 in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born October 20, 1935 in Stonewall, Oklahoma to John Pennington and Dena Churchwell.

Ruthie had a servant's heart, always putting others needs before her own. Her passion was cooking, gardening, fishing and playing board games. Most of all, she loved the Lord and her family. She will be greatly missed.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Earl Southern, her son Danny L. Southern, parents John Hughey Pennington and Dena Mae Churchwell, brothers Date Kenneth Pennington, David Lee Pennington, Orvil Don Pennington as well as sisters, Mary Geneva Pennington and Juanita Fern Pennington.

Ruthie is survived by Daughters Barbara A. Walker and Connie E. Southern as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruthie is in the care of Farmington Funeral Home where arrangements for cremation have taken place.
