Born on July 28, 1949, Samuel "Sammy" Murry Lybrook was called home on December 30th, 2024. He was 75 years old.
God must have needed a mechanic and/or a driver to get a hot rod ready for a big drag race, either that, or something long-hauled across the Heavens in a Mack Truck. As a young man, he was a certified Detroit diesel mechanic, and an owner operator of a variety of Trucks, hauling a variety of loads. As a hobby he always had a couple vehicles that he would fix up. Anything with a motor had his interest.
We miss his smile, his laugh, his jokes, his stories, his love, support, and encouragement.
We miss having our coffee and cookies together, and having fun conversations about anything and everything.
We miss climbing hills on dirt bikes and 4-wheelers (later in life) and then sitting on top of the world and enjoying the view.
After a stroke in 2009, Sam fought for life to be a part of our lives and did so with great faith and strength. He was always in good spirits and loved hearing how everyone was doing.
His reunion in Heaven includes his mother Eudora "Jicky" Chapman, and father, Samuel Murry Lybrook Sr. He was their only child.
He is survived by son Dwight (Peggy) Lybrook and their daughter Lacey. His son Mitch (Holly) Lybrook and their children Caleb, Aubrie, Brynley, and Carly, and by many cousins, friends, and family.
He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace Sammy, Dad, Papa.
