Sharon Pierce

Sharon Kaye Bassing Pierce, 71 of Farmington, NM., passed away on December 3, 2023. She was born February 28, 1952 in Haskell, TX. to D.C. and Ann Bassing.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Sharon went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long battle with cancer.

Sharon loved teaching her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews about the Lord. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, collecting 50's memorabilia, listening to oldies music, camping and making people laugh.

Sharon is preceded in death by her son Chad Anthony Pierce; parents DC and Ann Bassing; and her grandparents Charlie and Sallie Bassing, and James and Bonnie Robinson.

She is survived by her son Scott Pierce; daughter Christy Pierce; brothers Chris (Melody) Bassing, Greg (Sharon) Bassing; sister Judy (Tony) Gomez; and her grandchildren Amber (Chase) Kizer, Allissa Daly, Ashley Hager, and Adam Hager.

There will be a Celebration of Sharon's life at 11:00 am. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, NM. with Ken Whitaker Officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Bassing, Greg Bassing, Tony Gomez, Kendal Bassing, Allan Bassing, Adam Hager, Amber Kizer, Chase Kizer, Allissa Daly, and Ashley Hager.
