Sharon Kay Serrano, 74, of Flora Vista, New Mexico, passed away on September 13, 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Sharon was born in Hugo, Colorado to parents Thurman & Emma Roberts on May 3, 1950.
Sharon spent some of her childhood in Southeastern NM and then moved to Farmington. She attended Farmington High School where she met the love of her life, Jimmie Serrano, and then married on December 27, 1969, they would have been married 55 years this year.
Sharon and Jim moved to Alburquerque briefly where she worked for a bank. Not long after, they found themselves back in Farmington. They went on to buy and run Jim’s Market in Kirtland N.M. Since they closed the store, they have made time for her hobbies, travel and their family. She enjoyed cooking where she was always experimenting different meals, sewing, quilting and beadwork but her real passion in life was family.
She adored her family. Her nieces, nephews, grandkids and especially her daughter Tiffany and son-in-law, Tay. Her gentleness and kindness always had a way of making those around her feel special and supported. Sharon touched the lives of everyone that had the privilege of meeting her, even if it was for a short time her kindness always left such an impact.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who carry her memory in their hearts as they reflect on the love and kindness she shared throughout her life.
Sharon is preceded by her parents Thurman and Emma Roberts, Brothers Gene Roberts, Simmie Serrano and Phil Serrano.
Sharon is survived by her husband Jim Serrano, daughter Tiffany (Tay) Cline, brothers Danny Serrano (Shelly), Beto Serrano (Monica), Claude Serrano (Terrie), Clayton Roberts (Gerri Sue), and sisters Connie Vaughn (James), and Priscilla Montoya, grandchildren McKenzy Cline, Bryztal Cline, Quinzcy Cline, and Branzyn Cline.
