Shawn Spellbring, 54, of Farmington, NM, passed away on January 19, 2024. Born on July 15, 1969, in Albuquerque, NM, Shawn was the youngest son of Leonard (Tex) Spellbring and Bev Spellbring.
Shawn had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed various outdoor activities. He found solace in hunting, camping, boating, jeeping, and riding his side by side in the canyon. His favorite camping spot was by the Dolores River in Rico. Shawn also shared a special bond with his twin brother, Shane, and cherished his close relationships with all his siblings individually and as a group. He often embarked on adventures with them and enjoyed tinkering on various projects.
In his free time, Shawn loved watching Nascar with his friends and engaging in passionate discussions about the sport with his father. Shawn was stubborn with a unique sense of humor. It didn't take much to get a laugh from him.
Shawn started his career as a butcher and later became a Meat Department Manager. He honed his skills in the trade at Red Barn Meat Market, where he began working at the young age of 15.
Shawn was a believer and belonged to First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church in Farmington, NM. The services will be conducted by Pastor Keith Berryman.
Shawn Spellbring is survived by his loving parents, Leonard (Tex) and Bev Spellbring, his siblings Shannon Spellbring (Hillarie), Tonya Benjamin, Aarron (Tami), and his twin brother, Shane (Amy). He will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews: Dillon, Brittany (Jake), Amy (Dalten), Hayden (Anna), Caleb (Kelsie), Hannah (Jason), Keaton (Danielle), Ethan (Sydney), Madison, Wyatt (Allie), Joshua, Brenten (Grace), and Colby (Aimee). He was also great uncle to 12 great nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him!
