In Loving Memory of Shirley Ann Hampton

01/27/1940 – 12/06/2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Shirley Ann Hampton, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, who peacefully left this world at the age of 84. Surrounded by love, she embarked on her eternal journey, reuniting with the love of her life, her husband Bill Hampton; her parents, Howard and Helen Calaway; her sister, Sue Childers; and her brother, John Calaway, in the embrace of Heaven.

Shirley Ann Hampton was born with a heart full of kindness and a soul deeply rooted in love. A dedicated stay-at-home mother and wife, she poured her life into nurturing her family and creating a home that was a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her gentle presence and selfless spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her son, John Hampton Sr., who was the light of her life and her greatest pride. She also leaves behind three adoring grandsons: John Hampton Jr. (wife Tosha), Anthony Hampton, and Theo Hampton (wife Jessica), as well as 12 great-grandchildren, who were the sparkle in her eyes and the joy of her golden years.

Shirley’s legacy of love extends beyond her family. She was steadfast, compassionate, and a loyal friend, whose kindness and wisdom were a guiding light for all. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace, strength, and unwavering faith.

While we grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her love Bill, her beloved parents, her sister, and her brother, and embraced by the eternal love of God.
