Skylar Wolf

Skylar Wolf (Wesley Begay), 52, of Bloomfield, NM, passed from this life on October 06, 2022, in Bloomfield. Skylar was born February 25, 1970, in Denver, CO to Mae and Teddy C. Begay, and his aunt, Elaine Shelby, who was like a mother to him. Skylar grew up sheep herding on the Huerfano reservation. As a young adult, he spent ten years going to school, making lifelong friends, and working hard as a roofer. While he lived in New York, he had his oldest son, Zackary Chambers. Eventually, he returned to Bloomfield, NM, to the Huerfano Reservation. He lived in Bloomfield ever since he moved back and eventually met Jenifer Soto. Together, Skylar and Jenifer had three children: Matius, Seneca, and Mataya Wolf.

Skylar was also a multi award winning musician who loved to play the blues. He touched many hearts, and through his music, left an imprint on many souls. He loved his family, friends, and fans. He wanted to spread love and generosity.

Skylar is preceded in death by his parents, Mae & Teddy C. Begay, his brothers, Timothy Begay and Ronald Begay, and his grandparents, Virginia Begay, Harrold Begay, and Dick Begay.

Skylar is survived by his sons, Zack Chambers and Matius Wolf, his daughters, Seneca Wolf, Mataya Wolf, and Jaylyn Begay, the mother of the Wolf children, Jenifer Soto, his "Auntie-Mom," Elaine Shelby, his brothers, Jameson Ray and Jonathon Ray, his sisters, Jacqueline Ray, Rayleen John, Trudy Garcia, and Tanya Marie, and his grandchild, Ezra Chambers.

His Honorary Bearers are Jameson Ray, Raymond Ray, Jonathon Ray, Matius Wolf, Zack Chambers, Ezra Chambers, Elijah Genesis, and Wesley Begay.

There will be a public viewing on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at Farmington Funeral Home Celebration Center. Immediately following the viewing, there will be a reception at Cornerstone Apostolic Church of Farmington, located at 1900 N. Fairview Ave. in Farmington.
