Steven Phelps

Steven Phelps, 57, of Farmington passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in Farmington. He was born August 6, 1960 in Durango, CO to Raymond & Loriene Phelps.

Steve graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1978. He worked various oilfield jobs, drove over the road trucks and retired from Red Cedar Gathering. He enjoyed painting and restoring old cars, writing songs, playing guitar, and dancing.

He is preceded in death by his mother Loriene Phelps and his grandparents, Loran & Pearl Day and Henry & Bessie Phelps.

Steven is survived by his son Cory Phelps, step son Phillip Brewer, daughter Jacki Phelps, father Ray Phelps, brother, Doug (Terrie) Phelps, sisters, Katrina (Marcelino) Martinez, Terry Chavez, grandchildren, Levi Brewer, Rebecca Brewer, Skyler Phelps, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 17th at Farmington Funeral Home at 10am. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Phelps, Marcelino Martinez, Daniel Phelps, Roland Day, Tom Phelps, and Richard Phelps.
