Thomas Evans

Thomas "Tommy" Dale Evans, 89, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on March 8, 2025. Born on November 24, 1935 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Thelma and Ernest Evans.

Tommy lived a full and remarkable life. He was a man of dedication, hard work, and humor. He was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and an unrelenting work ethic that served him well throughout his life. After spending many years in the oil and gas industry, he and his beloved wife, Mary Jo moved to Farmington, New Mexico. In 1989 they founded The Spare Rib BBQ Co. which has remained in the family for three generations.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo in 2005.

He is survived by his brother Jack Evans (Beverly), his sister Ernestine Frank and three children: Jimmy Evans (Kim), John Evans (Cindi), and Tracy Pecotte (Dean) as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held to honor Tommy's life at a later date.
