Thomas Garcia, 85, passed away on 12/29/2022 in his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born February 1937 in Gobernador, NM to Elisa Sandoval and Rosendo Garcia. He moved to Farmington when he was 10 years old and graduated from Farmington High School in 1956. He served in the Air Force as a fighter pilot from 1956-1962 and afterwards started a career as a Boilermaker. In 1999, he retired from his career and settled back in Farmington to be close to his family. Even after retirement he still traveled and worked out of love for his career.
Tommy loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had a passion for life and adventure, always living it to the fullest. His carefree and loving attitude in life is exemplified by all of the family and friends who will miss him and remember him fondly. Family was the most important thing to him, and through the years he always lived life 'his way'. Even during the last few years of the pandemic, he was always positive and looked at the bright side of all situations.
He is survived by his wife Penny and sons Eric (Julie) of Wimmecuca, Nevada, Thomas of Corvallis, Oregon, great grandson Steven in Florida. Brother Michael (Bett) of McGregor, Texas, and sisters Sharon (Ventura) of Bloomfield, NM, Patsy of Yantis, Texas and Corrine of Leesburg, Florida. He is also survived by his two partners in crime Chopper and Harley, man's best friend.
Was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Heather Silva.
He will be laid to rest with his Mother in Gobernador TBD.
