Thomas "Tommy" Lisardo Valencia

Thomas “Tommy” Lisardo Valencia, 73, of Aztec, NM, passed away in the early morning of December 11, 2024. Tommy was an amazing, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and fellow friend to many.

Tommy was born on April 4th, 1951, to Thomas & Esther (ne’e Cordova) Valencia in Aztec, NM. Tommy worked diligently for 43 years for Aztec Well Services before retiring. He loved to garden and take care of his yard. Tommy liked to work on his trucks and to tinker. Tommy never knew a stranger and always went out of his way to help others. His smile and heart will be greatly missed.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Esther Valencia; his brother, Manuel Valencia; his sister Tina Maestas; his grandparents Pasqual & Frances Valencia, and one sweet baby who left us to take his great-grandpa home.

Tommy is lovingly survived by his wife, Felipa; his son, Scott; his daughters, Tammy (Jason) Thompson and Sandra (Brian) Coberly; his brothers, John (Dee) Valencia and Jerry Valencia; his sisters, Eva Cordova, Connie (Tommy) Atencio, Joanna (Orlando) Talamante, Gloria (Andy) Garcia, and Rosie (Chuck) Howard.

Tommy is also strongly survived by his grandchildren: Kevin Sr. (Brittani) Arellano, Darian (Cody) Valencia, Morgan (Rowdy) Thompson, Marcus Martinez, Dion (Liz) Martinez, Adryan (Lauren) Valencia, Brandon Valencia, DeAndra (Nate) Garcia, LaShaya (Alik) Fletcher, Hunter (Makayla) Thompson, and Tommy Valencia-Thompson; as well as his great-grandchildren: Elena Martinez, Kevin Jr. Arellano, Logan Arellano, Wyatt Martinez, Jasper Martinez, Ivory Martinez, Maddilyn Martinez, Waylon Garcia, one sweet angel yet to be born.

As per Tommy’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Please reach out to your family and friends, help those in need, or do something nice for someone. You can also donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Tommy's honor.
