Timothy Irwin McGuire, 60, passed away Monday, October 29 at home after a battle with cancer. Tim loved life and spent the last year traveling on his “Farewell Tour,” visiting family, and checking off his bucket list.
Tim was the owner and operator for 4 Corners Networks in Farmington. He was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed volunteering with Catholic Charities and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Robert McGuire. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McGuire, his mother, Lorraine McGuire, brothers Ron McGuire, Gary McGuire, Todd McGuire (Dem), his sister Cindy Mayer (Dan), children, Jonathan McGuire (Louane Kuang), Jeremy McGuire (Linga Nguyen), Richard Matheny (Amanda), Allyson Black (Joshua), Elizabeth Seitz, and Abigail Seitz, and grandchildren Jared McGuire, Arya McGuire, Brendan Matheny, and Nicholas Matheny. Tim also leaves behind many dear friends.
A Rosary will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St., Farmington, NM on Friday, November 2 at 7:00 pm. The Funeral is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 at 11:00 am also at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church of Farmington.
Tim was a strong advocate for Childhood cancer and couldn’t imagine a child going through what he had – and at times worse. Therefore, we would request in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Alex’s Lemonade Stand to help fight child cancer: https://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/1443830.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:1-4
Tim’s care has been entrusted to Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St in Farmington. For those who wish to express their condolences can do so at www.farmingtonfuneral.com.
