Vicki was blessed enough to make an early exit to the Lord after a battle with liver disease. Her battle was long and she fought hard but it was time for her to go home.
She was the first born child of Charles and Verna Hickman on October 20, 1976 in Farmington, N.M. Vicki grew up and went to school in Kirtland, N.M. and graduated top in her class from San Juan College Cosmetology. She loved doing hair and making people beautiful. Hanging outside and going camping were just a couple fun things she did. This girl was born a water dog! You couldn't get her out if you tried.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Charles; grandparents John and Celestia Keeling (mom's side) and Keith and Lee Ann Hickman (dad's side).
She is survived by two daughters, Shayla (Colten) and Makinzey Nakia-May (Jesus); grandchildren, Angel, Eli, Thomas and Aria; mother, Verna LaFong (step-father Don); brother Kenneth (Trudie); three sisters, Afton, Jodie Ann and Cassie; nephew, Riley; nieces, Rhiannon, Halo, Kylie and Cecilia; best friend, Marilyn; and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday June 29th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Kirtland 17 Rd 6500, Kirtland, N.M.
