Victor E. Dailey, 89, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on February 8, 2023, in Farmington, New Mexico. Victor was born on May 1, 1933, in Elizabethtown, KY, to parents Floyd Thomas Dailey & Ella Mae Dailey.
Victor was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea during that conflict. He worked as a Machinist for many years in Albuquerque (Sandia Corp.) and Seattle (Boeing). After that he, along with his wife Jennie, worked as an independent trucker, travelling to all of the states except Hawaii. In his younger years he was active in automobile racing as a driver and engine builder. He remained a NASCAR fan throughout his life.
Victor is preceded by his wife Janice “Jennie” Dailey, sons Fred Dailey, and Michael “Mickey” Dailey, great grandson Peter Garcia, daughter Freda Gail “Judy” Moe, parents Floyd Thomas and Ella Mae Dailey, and brother Arthur “Art” Dailey.
Victor is survived by son in law Ron Moe, daughter in law Barbara Dailey, brother Tom Dailey (Tawna), and sisters Jean Harjo and Wanda Hiett. Also survived by grandchildren Tyson, Viki, Shawn, Chris, Darren, Michael, and 6 great grandchildren.
Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 1605 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, on March 6, 2023, at 10:00am, with a reception to follow.
Burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 2:00pm
