Our beloved mother, Virginia Nell Fabian, 79, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at her home at the BeeHive. She was diagnosed years ago with Parkinson’s Disease. She was in the last 2 years re-diagnosed with Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy. She said she wished she could still have Parkinson’s because she couldn’t remember the name of her new disorder.

Our mom was born June 24, 1938, in Catron County in Pie Town, N.M. to Mildred Harrison and William Burnett. She lived her early years in Shiprock. The family moved to Kirtland where she graduated in 1956. She went to work at Bonds in Shiprock and met her husband of 53 years, Andrew F. Fabian Jr. They raised their children in Shiprock and later moved to Bloomfield where she lived for 30 years working at Mauzy’s.

Our mother loved to read the bible. She loved her family and grandchildren, she loved cooking and gardening.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Fabian Jr.; her mother, Juanita (Mildred) Burnett; and her father, William Burnett. She is survived by her brother, Bob Burnett (Saundra); her sisters, Myrna Combs, Mary Justice and Patty Fine. She is also survived by her in-law family in Ohio, Paul Fabian, Mary Brown, Helen Philliben and Tommy Fabian (Judy); her four children, Paul Fabian (Sonia), Matt Fabian (Kerrie), Jean Munoz (Ed) and Brian Fabian (Cher); her grandchildren, Caleb, Kyle, Jennifer, Michael, Nickolaus, Dominic, Evander, Kealey and Klint; and great-grandchildren, Aria, Emma, Julisa, Jazmyn and Aubrey.

The family would like to thank the angels at Bee Hive for the wonderful care given to our mom: Bernadette, Sandra, Shelinda, Tamara, Saundra, Yolonda, Kimmie, Sadie, Jessica and Sam. We would also like to thank Basin Hospice for their service; and her doctors, Dr. Dwinell and Dr. Lecomte. Our eternal gratitude to the legion of Mary from St. Mary’s who prayed for her and gave her communion.

A rosary will be recited for Virginia at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington.
